Last updated October 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DC Helpers VA collects, uses and protects the personal data you share with us through dchelpersva.com, our Time Check, our contact forms, email and WhatsApp. We keep it simple. We only ask for what we need, we only contact you the way you authorize, and you can change your mind at any time.

Who is responsible for your data

DC Helpers VA, based in Medellín, Colombia, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, write to hello@dchelpersva.com.

What data we collect

  • Contact details you give us, such as your name, work email, company, country and, only if you choose, your WhatsApp number.
  • Time Check answers, such as your type of business, the hours you spend on different tasks and the estimated value of your time.
  • Your authorizations, meaning which channels you allowed us to use, plus the date and version of the consent you gave.
  • Basic technical data, such as clicks on links in our emails and standard information your browser shares with any website.

We do not ask for sensitive data, such as health, religion, political views or financial account numbers, and our services are not directed to people under 18.

How we use it

  • To prepare and show your Time Check results.
  • To send you your results and follow up by email, only if you authorized it.
  • To contact you on WhatsApp, only if you authorized it and gave us your number.
  • To schedule and prepare calls you book with us.
  • To improve our website and services, using aggregated information.

We never sell your personal data, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Legal basis

We process your data based on the authorization you give us when you check the boxes on our forms. Each channel has its own box, none of them is checked by default, and you can withdraw any authorization at any time. Where the law allows it, we may also rely on our legitimate interest in answering a request you send us.

Who helps us process it

We use trusted providers for our workspace, workflows, email, scheduling and website hosting. They only process data on our behalf and under our instructions. Some of them store data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. When that happens we choose providers that apply recognized security and contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while there is an active conversation or business relationship, and for up to 24 months after our last interaction, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, update, correct or delete your data, to stop contacting you, or to withdraw your authorization. Write to hello@dchelpersva.com and we will answer within the time your local law sets. You can also unsubscribe from any email with one click, or reply STOP on WhatsApp.

Information by country

United States

Our emails follow the CAN-SPAM Act and always include a way to unsubscribe. We only send WhatsApp messages to people who gave us prior consent. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. If your state gives you privacy rights, you can exercise them by writing to us.

Colombia

We process personal data in accordance with Ley 1581 de 2012, Decreto 1377 de 2013 and related rules. Your authorization is prior, express and informed. As a data subject you have the right to know, update and correct your data, request proof of your authorization, be informed about how your data is used, revoke your authorization or ask for deletion, and file a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio once you have contacted us first. Requests are answered within the terms set by law, 10 business days for inquiries and 15 business days for claims.

Mexico

In line with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, this policy works as our privacy notice. You can exercise your ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition) and revoke your consent by writing to us.

Rest of Latin America

We respect the data protection law of your country, such as Argentina’s Ley 25.326, Chile’s Ley 19.628, Peru’s Ley 29733, Ecuador’s Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos Personales and Brazil’s LGPD (Lei 13.709/2018). You can exercise the rights those laws give you by writing to us.

Canada

We only send commercial messages with your express consent, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, and you can withdraw it at any time. You can ask to access or correct your data under PIPEDA.

European Union and United Kingdom

Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing, and to complain to your local supervisory authority or, in the UK, to the ICO.

Security

We protect your data with access controls, encrypted connections and providers that follow recognized security practices. Only the people who need your data to help you can see it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will ask for your authorization again.
